Alban Cuka

Alban is a registered physiotherapist with CPCM Malta with a special interest for neurological and lymphedema disorders rehabilitation. Alban has studied at “Tor Vergata” University in Rome Italy, facilitated by “Our Lady of Good Council University” in Albania. In 2016 he was awarded a certificate on “Clinical Education in Practice – Mentorship” by The University of Malta.   He also in 2017 obtained his master in “Clinical Posture” at University of Pisa, Italy. In 2019 he obtained a Master in “Lymphatic Disorders” in Rome, Italy. In addition he has participated in a National study as a Research Assistance undertaken by Malta Association of Physiotherapist in collaboration of Ministry for Education and Employment.

Physiotherapy is a relatively young profession and as such it is continuously growing and developing. Alban believes that in physiotherapy like in many other professions it is compulsory to keep abreast with new research, participate in continuous development programs organized locally and abroad. Since 2010 Alban has worked in different setting like rehabilitation centers and clinics, wide experience with neurological patients and in the last 2 years has extended his knowledge and practice in palliative care and lymphedema disorders rehabilitation.

In his free time Alban enjoys reading a book, learning a new language or playing Volleyball. He often participated on activities to raise funds for children with disability through sport events.
